8500-10,000 Hot Stock Tractor

** 8500 Hot Stock - Stock appearing injection pump that matches rear end and transmission. **

1.)   Tractor must have stock appearing injector pump.

2.)    No “P” series injection pumps. If tractor was produced with “P” series pump it will be changed to an “A” series pump

3.)    Engine must be of stock configuration and use OEM adapter plates.

4.)    Cubic inch limit for the 8500-lb class is 466 Cubic Inch Displacement (CID).

5.)    Cubic inch limit for the 10,000-lb class is 510 cubic inches displacement.

6.)    No propane injection or nitrous oxide.

7.)   Water and or alcohol injection allowed.

8.)    Maximum turbo inlet diameter is 2.5 inches. This can be a restrictor that is no more than 4 inches from compressor wheel and no other air inlets between the restrictor and compressor wheel. No slots allowed on air intake.

  9)  Must have working tach cable with 2 magnets  (male connection from tractor) to hook to sled.  CAN NOT tach more than 3000 RPM per tach box during pull.  If the tach box records greater than 3000 RPM during the pull, that tractor will be disqualified, unless the tach box is determined to be inaccurate.  If the tach box is inaccurate, alternate method of checking RPM will be a handheld tach at the end of the track.  Person reading the tach box is responsible for decision of which tractors to hand check

10.)   The consequence for exceeding the 3100 RPM limit are as follows:  (1) first offense is forfeit prize money and all points (max of 16 points) for that class, (2) second offense is the same as for first offense, and (3) the third offense is 1 year and 1 day suspension for that tractor for all classes in which it competes.  The first and second offenses in one weight class do not add to violations in the second class.

11.)   Cubic inch protests are $250.00 and inspected by protest committee.

12.)   Tech checks include inspection of turbo sizes and/or intake requirements.

 ** 10,000 lb class can run (P) series pump but must start out weighing 9200 lbs. Hitch hieght and weight will be adjusted throughout the season at the board discretion. **
